Description |
1,003 cartoons drawn by various artists for the ' The Stamp Wholesaler' magazine between 194? and 1970. Seven boxes (items not numbered in the boxes) plus one bound scrapbook. Box 093 contains 9 undated (1940?s) cartoons by Charles Wible and 153 cartoons by Bob Rieker and George Stewart dating from the 1950s. Box 094 contains 247 cartoons from the 1950s by Bill Bobb, Joseph Serrano, Bert Gore, John Dunnett, Roy O. Carling, John Dawson, Cairo Sturgill, Lowell Hoppes, Bill Newcombe, Brad Anderson and C. K. Weil Boxes 095-098 contain 162 cartoons from the 1950s by Joe Bresch Box 099a contains 266 cartoons from the 1960s by Jim M'Guinness, John Dawson, Lowell Hoppes, J.F. Dunnett, Roy O. Carling, Tony Saltzman and George L. Stewart and 166 cartoons from the 1970s by Bob Rieker, Roy O. Carling, Lowell E. Hoppes, Doug Baker, H.B. Harn, J.F. Dunnett, Tony Saltzman and Joseph Serrano. 099b is a bound volume scrapbook of work by Bob Ricker. Mostly tearsheets but includes 7 roughs and 1 original art cartoon. Scrapbook belonged to Dick Novick. |
